[시사뷰타임즈] ‘언론매체들의 곡예 (Media circus)란, 구어적인 비유 또는 관용구이며 새소식이 될 일을 언론들이 취재하는 수준 -현장에 있는 기자들의 숫자 및 이 재료를 방송 또는 출간하는 양으로 측정하는 것- 이 과다하게 받아들여지거나 또는 그 사건이 보도될 비율을 넘어선 것을 묘사하는 말이다.
※ 흔히 선정적 또는 흥미위주로 어떤 일이나 사건을 보도하는 것을 뜻함.
