마스커우 (모스크바) 는 사실상 워싱튼이 (유크레인의) 라셔 (러시아) 영토 공격을 부추겨 왔다고 했다

[시사뷰타임즈] 유크레인 (우크라이나) 에 장거리 미사일을 공급하기로 한 결정은 미국의 "고의적인 확대" 를 의미한다고 워싱튼 주재 라셔 대사가 말하면서, 마스커우는 라셔 도시에 대한 공습을 용납하지 않을 것이라고 경고했다.

금요일 저녁 성명에서, 아나톨리 안토노프 대사는 이날 오전 같은날 유크레인 공급이 승인된 가장 최근 미군 지원 -소구경 폭탄 지상 발사대 (GLSDB: 작전 사거리가 150km인 탄알 포함- 에 대해 논평했다.

“워싱턴은 라셔에 전략적 패배를 가하기 위해 가리는게 없다고 본다. 점점 더 강력해지는 무기를 키엪 (유크레인) 정권에 이전하는 것은 미국이 고의적으로 갈등을 고조시키는 것이다. 미국이 이런 점을 빨리 깨달을수록 현재의 갈등은 더 빨리 끝날 것이다.”

미 국방부는 무기 이전 발표를 하면서, ‘GLSDB’ 라는 명칭을 언급하지는 않았지만, 패트릭 라이더 준장은 차기 원조에 GLSDB가 포함될 것이라고 나중에 밝혔으며, 미국 관료들은 키엪의 라셔 내부 깊숙한 곳에 하는 미사일 공격을 막지 않을 것이라고 했다.

미국이 공급한 HIMARS 미사일 발사대에서 발사되는 GLSDB는 지금까지 키엪에 승인해 준 가장 긴 사거리 무기 중 하나이며 이론적으로 러시아 영토 깊숙이 있는 목표물에 도달할 수 있다.

안토노프는 이어 미국이 "사실상 라셔지역을 공격하도록 유크레인의 후원자들을 선동하고 있다" 고 하면서, 마스커우는 작년에 라셔 연방에 가입하기로 투표한 새로운 영토들과 그 외 다른 라셔 땅을 구별하지 않는다고 주장했다.

"자포로제나 브랸스크 지역, 크라이미어 (크리미아) 또는 스몰렌스크 지역에서 키엪 범죄자들의 공격 가능성에 대해 이야기할 때 우리에게는 차이가 없다." 고 그는 계속 말했다.

새로운 무기가 유크레인 전장에 도달하려면, 최대 9개월이 걸릴 수 있지만, 라셔는 이미 블라디미르 푸틴 대통령이 이번 주 초 라셔 영토에 대한 유크레인 공격의 "모든 가능성" 을 제거하라고 군에 명령하면서 대응 방안을 제안했다. 한편 세르게이 라브로프 외무장관은 라셔 군은 위협을 가하지 않는 거리까지 유크레인 군을 격퇴할 것이라고 했다. .”

워싱튼은 지난해 분쟁이 발발한 이후, 유크레인에 31건의 별도의 무기 이전 31건을 승인했는데, 다른 무기들 중에서도 다연장 라킷 (로켓) 발사대, 대포, 무인기, 대전차 및 대공 탄약, 장갑차 및 애국자 미사일을 포함하여 금액으로 보면 총 300억 달러에 달한다. 마스커우의 거듭된 경고 즉 여러 무기들은 적대행위 수준을 점차 높일 뿐이여 협상 정착을 불가능하게 할 것이라는 경고에도 불구하고, 미국 관계자들은 키엪에 대한 미국의 지원이 “유크레인이 필요로하는 만큼 오래” 계속될 것이라는 말을 해왔다.

Moscow said Washington has effectively encouraged attacks on Russian territory

The decision to supply Ukraine with longer-range missiles marks a “deliberate escalation” by the United States, Russia’s ambassador to Washington has said, warning that Moscow would not tolerate strikes on Russian cities.

 

In a statement on Friday evening, Ambassador Anatoly Antonov commented on the latest round of US military aid approved for Ukraine earlier in the day, which is set to include Ground Launched Small Diameter Bombs (GLSDB) – munitions with an operational range of 93 miles (150 kilometers).

 

“Washington sees no boundaries in seeking to inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. The transfer of increasingly powerful weapons to the Kiev regime is a deliberate escalation of the conflict by the United States,” he said, adding “Any attempt to harm the Russian Federation is doomed to failure. The sooner the United States realizes this, the sooner the current conflict will end.”

 

 

Though the Pentagon did not mention the GLSDB by name in announcing the weapons transfer, Brigadier-General Patrick Ryder later confirmed that it would be included in the next round of aid, also noting that US officials would not stop Kiev from using the missiles to strike inside Russia.

 

Pentagon allows Ukraine to fire long-range missiles at will

Fired from the US-supplied HIMARS missile launcher, the GLSDB is among the longest-range weapons authorized for Kiev to date, and could theoretically reach targets deep within Russian territory.

 

Antonov went on to say the United States is “de facto inciting its proteges to attack Russian regions,” arguing that Moscow makes no distinction between newer territories which voted to join the Russian Federation last year and other Russian lands.

 

“For us there is no difference when we talk about a possible attack by Kiev criminals on the Zaporozhye or Bryansk regions, the Crimea or the Smolensk region,” he continued.

 

Though the new weapons could take up to nine months to reach the Ukrainian battlefield, Russia has already suggested how it might react, with President Vladimir Putin ordering the military to eliminate “any possibility” of Ukrainian strikes on Russian territory earlier this week. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, meanwhile, said Russian forces would repel Ukrainian soldiers to a distance from which they would not pose a threat, declaring: “the longer range the weapons supplied to the Kiev regime have, the further the troops will need to be moved.”

 

Washington has authorized 31 separate arms transfers to Ukraine since the conflict erupted last year, worth a total of some $30 billion, including multi-launch rocket platforms, artillery pieces, drones, anti-tank and anti-aircraft munitions, armored vehicles and a Patriot missile defense battery, among other hardware. Despite Moscow’s repeated warnings that the weapons will only escalate hostilities and make a negotiated settlement impossible, US officials have said assistance to Kiev would continue for “as long as it takes.”
